Treatment Modalities
Megan believes that good therapy and consultation is rooted in evidence-based practices that are individualized based on the needs of the client.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
IFS is a transformative therapy that helps people heal by teaching them to access and love the protective and wounded inner parts of themselves. Learn more here.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
EMDR is a relatively new, exciting therapy focused on processing past memories that may be driving dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Learn more here.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a very common therapy that focuses on challenging dysfunctional thoughts to learn new ways of thinking and behaving. Learn more here.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a subset of CBT that focuses on skill development to improve emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. Learn more here.
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
Ketamine-assisted therapy is an effective intervention for suicidal ideation, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. We do not offer ketamine medicine at our practice, but can support our clients in preparation and integration of their ketamine sessions at FDA-approved clinics. Learn more here.
While Megan’s IPI training included MDMA- and psilocybin-assisted therapy, these interventions are not yet FDA-approved and therefore are not offered by this practice. Learn more about the research behind MDMA-assisted therapy here and psilocybin-assisted therapy here.
